Web 2.0

Web 2.0 helps us to create our own substances in terms of allowing us as consumers to do what we like. Prior to this new technology we can all grant ourselves with the needs and wants that we need within the new media society. As pupils studying at schools we need admission to the internet which would hopefully allow us to carry out any research that we need to do or any work.

Web 2.0 is a phrase describing changing trends in the use of World Wide Web technology and web design that aims to enhance creativity, information sharing, collaboration and functionality of the web. Web 2.0 allows many of us as users to do more than just to retrieve information. Users can also build interactive facilities so it can provide network platform computing, allowing users to run software-applications entirely through a browser.

I believe that web 2.0 has changed the media vastly this is due to all the different social networking sites that we go on a daily basis. I also believe that the internet has one and only one main competitor which is the Television. According to the research that I carried out there seems to be an immense amount of consumers addicted to the internet than the TV. Even though television has been around for decades I still believe it has been decreasing in terms of its popularity and for this reason this may have caused major friction between the two.
